Saudi Arabia Launches One Of the World’s Biggest Investments In Next Generation of Tourism Professionals

On 9 June, 2022, the Ministry of Tourism of Saudi Arabia launched a new program to equip more than 100,000 young Saudis who pursue careers in the tourism industry. This program aims to nurture, develop, and support talent in the tourism industry, thus attracting more Saudis nationals to the sector. In addition, the participants in this program will get assistance in finding employment in the tourism industry, including part-time, full-time, and seasonal positions around the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

His Excellency Ahmed Al Khateeb, Minister of Tourism, Saudi Arabia, said: “It is vital that we invest in our youth now. Creating a skilled workforce with the talent and ambition to support and drive the tourism sector regionally and globally is key to realizing Vision 2030. This program demonstrates our commitment to empowering young people by providing them with the right skills, support and opportunities to shape the future of the tourism industry.”

Saudi citizens who participate in this program also get benefits from training scholarships at prestigious international institutions in France, Spain, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Australia, and Italy. Not only fresh graduates but also Saudis who have experience in the tourism industry can apply for these training scholarships. Those who aspire to start a career in the tourism, hospitality, culinary, service, and sales fields can do so.
